The energy choice is yours
As an electricity or natural gas consumer, you have rights and responsibilities:
 |
- Know who your supplier is, if you have a contract, with whom, the price you pay, and your monthly consumption.
- Ask agents for photo ID, what company they represent, and for a copy of any material presented you can keep.
|
|
- Know the price offered, exit conditions and renewal
options. Read the fine print.
- Use the 10-day cooling off period after receiving the
written contract to review the contract and research any questions you have. Make sure you’re comfortable with your choice.
- In some cases, you’ll need to reaffirm your contract
for it to remain in effect. Typically, reaffirmation is done in writing or by phone.
- Don’t feel rushed or pressured – make the choice
that’s right for you.
