Film Classification

Under the Film Classification Act, 2005 (FCA), the Ontario Film Review Board (OFRB) classifies most films in Ontario and maintains a website that includes each film’s classification, content advisories and, for films classified after April 2006, detailed observations by the board.

If complaints about the appropriateness of a classification of a film, including a video game, are received, ministry staff will investigate further to determine whether or not the film’s classification should be reconsidered.

For more information on film classification, visit the OFRB website.
