Tarion Warranty Corporation, which has operated for over 30 years and protects more than 1.45 million new home buyers in this province, has launched a new consumer website. 

The new website provides 24 hour access to information on purchasing a new home and allows homeowners to file their new home warranty forms online. The site also contains information on how to file for a warranty claim should there be a problem, and offers secure, around-the-clock access to the status of these claims.

Taking steps to strengthen technical safety in Ontario

Ontario is strengthening the province’s technical safety system by introducing proposed amendments to the Technical Standards and Safety Act

Ontario’s technical safety standards are among the best in the world and work well to protect Ontarians everyday. The proposed amendments are designed to further improve accountability and transparency of the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) and strengthen the province’s technical safety system.
