The Ontario government created Ontario Early Years Centres to be a place where parents and caregivers can bring their children and play together in early learning programs, get answers to questions, information about programs and services that are available for young children, and meet other families living in their communities. You can talk to early years professionals, as well as other parents and caregivers in the community. You and your child can visit the Etobicoke Lakeshore Ontario Early Years Centre for a range of free services including:

• Early learning, numeracy and literacy programs for parents and their children;
• Enjoy fun time together as a family
• Formal and Informal parenting programs that support parents and caregivers in all aspects of early child development  
• Information  for new parents about pregnancy and parenting including a resource library of books and videos covering a wide range of parenting and child development topics
• Health programs including infant hearing screening, prenatal classes, Healthiest Babies Possible
• Specialized programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers
• Information and links to other Early Years Services in our community
• Volunteer opportunities that include orientation, training and ongoing support in our programs and on our parent advisory committees
• Specialized programs for fathers ( http://www.dadstoday.org/ ) and teen/youth parents

The Etobicoke Lakeshore Ontario Early Years Centre also brings together in one location information about children's services and programs in the community. Our staff speak a variety of languages. If you have questions about your child's development, or want to know how to get information or services for your child aged 0-6 in Etobicoke Lakeshore, please drop by anytime to meet staff, pick up a quarterly calendar of events or take a tour of our Ontario Early Years Centre at 185 Fifth St., Etobicoke, ON M8V 2Z5, or call us at 416-252-8293.
