The Oakville Parent-Child Centre Spring Program Guide, which includes Ontario Early Years programs, is available Tuesday, January 22nd! The deadline for registration is February 5th. You can download the program guide and all registration forms from our website http://www.op-cc.ca/.
The Ontario government created Ontario Early Years Centres to be a place where parents and caregivers can get answers to questions, information about programs and services that are available for young children, and an opportunity to talk to early years professionals, as well as other parents and caregivers in the community. You and your child can visit the Oakville Ontario Early Years Centre for a range of free services including:

DROP-IN PROGRAMS (5 and UNDER)
Drop-in programs are offered a number of times throughout the week at all of our locations. Our drop-in programs do have a limited capacity and closure signs will be posted when full. Registration is not required.
MY BABY & ME A "drop-in" program for parents with babies, newborn to twelve months. Enjoy some adult conversation, meet other parents, make friends and enjoy an afternoon out. A fun time for your baby with toys and songs. Registration is not required.
TODDLER FUN A special "drop-in" for parents, caregivers and toddlers. If your little one is 12 to 24 months drop-in to this program. Toddler toys and songs make a fun morning out. Registration is not required.
CABIN FEVER Cabin Fever is offered at all of our locations. A drop-in for parents, caregivers and children newborn to 5 years, which offers a fun time out. Our playroom offers playdough, great toys, books and puzzles. Registration is not required.
COME PLAY WITH ME A drop-in program just for families who have a child with special needs. This program offers crafts, toys and a balance of structured and unstructured activities for you and your child to enjoy. Lots of opportunties to practice social skills and spend some time together. Siblings welcome. For more information, call Nikki at 905-849-6366. Registration is not required.
SATURDAY FUN Join us on Saturday mornings and enjoy a special time with your child in a creative play environment. Registration is not required. This "exclusively dads" drop in gives dads an opportunity to connect with their kids, while giving mom a much needed break! We provide lots of stimulating activities for children in a safe, fun environment. Plan to join us, hang out with other dads, and have a great time with the kids. Registration is not required.
A drop-in program designed for child care providers and the children they care for, newborn to 5 years. Come and join in the fun with songs and play time! Registration is not required.
BONJOUR MARDI MATIN A NEW drop-in program in french!
Venez vous joindrent à nous pour une petite histoire et des chansons, comptines rondes en français, pour enfants de 2½ à 6 ans.

PARENT & TOT
Our parent and tot programs offer you special time with your little one. The appropriate program selection is determined by your child's age. For safety reasons Nursery care for younger children is required during "Boogie Woogie", "Twist & Shout", "Toddling Tots", "Enjoying Your Toddler", "Time Together" and "Shake, Rattle & Roll" at our North Service Road and Abbeywood locations. Registration is required.
MOTHER GOOSE (newborn - 12 months) Come and experience the spark of delight and magic that comes from enjoying a favourite rhyme or song together with your little one. Registration is required.
TICKLES & TALES (newborn to 6 months) Dont' miss this fun filled hour of baby games, music, rhymes and stories offered in partnership with the Oakville Public Library. Registration is required.
TALES & TUNES (6 to 12 months) Come and join the fun with your 6 to 12 month old baby. Songs, stories and games and lots of enjoyment make for a fun afternoon out. Registration is required.
TOTS IN ACTION (12 to 24 months) Come and join us for an exciting morning with your toddler! In this program we will enjoy songs, finger plays and stories with balls, bubbles and books! Registration is required.
TODDLING TOTS (12 TO 24 months) Bring along your favourite adult and join us for a fun-filled monring of toddling, free play, songs and a craft. Registration is required.
BOOGIE WOOGIE (18 to 24 months) Join us for an aciton packed morning of music, movement, songs and lots of fun for parents and children. Registration is required.
TWIST & SHOUT (24 to 36 months) Through music, games and songs you and your child can have fun moving, exercising and playing musical instruments together. Registration is required.
SHAKE, RATTLE & ROLL (2 1/2 to 5years) Through music, games and songs you and your child can have fun moving, exercising and playing musical instruments together. Registration is required.
TODDLING TOTS - (12 to 24 months) Bring along your faviourite adult and join us for a fun filled morning of toddling, music, movement and crafts. Your child should be toddling for this program. Registration is required.
ENJOYING YOUR TODDLER (18 to 30 months) Join us for a morning of crafts, songs and lots of fun with parents and children. Registration is required.
TIME TOGETHER (2 1/2 to 5 years) Join us for a morning of crafts, songs and lots of fun with parents and children. Registration is required.
Parenting programs that support parents and caregivers of young children in all aspects of early child development including:
PARENTING WORKSHOPS
Our programs for "grown-ups" offer information, advice, a chance to meet others and make friends, as well as, a break from the kids! The age group of the children that is covered in the course material is indicated beside the program name. Registration is required.
The following programs, offered during the day, may include childcare in our preschool and nursery rooms. Supervised by qualified staff, we provide a program for children two to five years, which offers free play, crafts and circle activities. A fully equipped nursery offers tender, loving care for infants and toddlers under two years of age.
TODDLER COPE (12 to 36 months) Community facilitators will use videos, skill building exercies and discussion to help parents work together to find answers to common questions about parenting toddlers. Registration is required.
BABES & TODDLERS (8 to 14 months) What an incredible change – becoming a mom. With your little one in tow, we'll discuss how children learn through play, stages of development, introducing foods and much more. Offered in partnership with the Halton Regional Health Department. Registration is required.
TODDLER TWO STEP (12 to 30 months) Does your toddler have you dancing in circles? Stay two steps ahead of them! We'll spend 6 weeks talking and learning about this busy time. Topics include ages and stages, self-esteem, eating, sleeping, toilet learning and activities to keep them busy. Registration is required.
SMALL FRIES (2 ½ to 5 years) Need a new approach to handling your small fry? Join us for coffee, conversation and some helpful hints in this 6 week program. Topics include ages and stages, communication, behaviour management and activities to keep your little one happy. Registration is required.
KIDS HAVE STRESS TOO! (3 to 5 years) Even young children can learn physical and mental strategies to relieve stress and find ways to respond to stressful situations. This 3 week program is designed to help parents and caregivers better understand stress and help teach their children ways to manage it. Registration is required.
LOVING LIMITS (2 to 5 years) Join us for this 6 week evening parenting class and learn about parenting styles, ages and stages, communication and behaviour management. Your knowledge and skills will help you to set and follow through on reasonable limits for your 2 - 5 year old. Registration is required.
MOTHERS ARE PEOPLE TOO An excellent selection of guest speakers visit the Centre each week to discuss family, parenting, and women's issues. Registration is required.
