The Ontario government created Ontario Early Years Centres to be a place where parents and caregivers can get answers to questions, information about programs and services that are available for young children, and an opportunity to talk to early years professionals, as well as other parents and caregivers in the community. You and your child can visit the Burlington Ontario Early Years Centre for a range of free services.
- A non-structured environment that allows you to interact with your children and to talk with other parents/caregivers. You are responsible for the children in your care during your stay, although Centre staff are available for assistance. Available activities include creative activities, a large variety of toys, and free play.

Children and their parents and caregivers are invited to drop-in for some fun with music, movement and creative activities. No registration required, but space is limited.
- A drop-in for parents/caregivers and their babies from newborn to 16 months. Adults enjoy conversation, meeting others and making new friends while babies enjoy playing with toys and music. No registration required, but space is limited.

Sitting in a circle on the floor, parents learn nursery rhymes and songs while holding, touching, bouncing and enjoying time with their babies in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. If your baby is mobile, try our Creep, Crawl and Toddle program.

Bring your crawling and toddling children to a fun filled morning that includes Mother Goose songs and rhymes as well as new music, rhymes, songs, stories and sensory activities.

This creative movement and art program is designed just for toddlers. Join us for a fun filled morning of creative activities, music, songs and movement games.

This preschool creative movement and art program includes a wide varitey of art, music, movement and creative play activities.

This active moement program begins with free play time focusing on large muscle activeies and ends with music and movement games and activities led by our enthsiastic and energetic Early Childhood staff.
- This program offers childcare providers the opportunity to come together to exchange ideas, learn new creative activities, games, songs and childcare techniques.
- Dad's and their children have the opportunity to come together and share. Stories, snacks, music and large muscle activities are all a part of the fun.

You and your children will participate in games, activities, stories and songs that teach basic French. Activities are designed to introduce children to the french language in a fun and relaxed learning environment.
- Come and have fun with math! Parents and their children ages 4 - 6 attend sessions together and are actively involved in doing "mathematics". The program is based on the mathematics curriculum for JK, SK, and Grade 1.

- These series offer a learning opportunity for parents. Join us as guest speakers and our Early Childhood Professionals provide valuable information about family, parenting, health and women's issues.

This three-week crash course helps parents and caregivers learn effective ways to manage challenging behaviours. Ideas and information on temperament, setting limits and positive parenting approaches and strategies are shared and discussed.
- - Building Our Children's Character Program© This is a 6 week program for fathers to discuss and learn about responsible communication with children, effective and purposeful discipline, leadership in the home and useful and healthy boundaries.

This parent program helps parents and caregivers to understand childhood stress and provides strategies for teaching your children to deal with stress effectively.
- Adults can access information in the form of flyers, pamphlets, books, videos and kits.
- A free pre-pregnancy, pre-natal parenting education program to help parents thinking about having a baby or actually expecting.

- An informal weekly program for parents with new babies ages 0-6 months. Each week a new topic is discussed such as postpartum adjustment, sleeping, crying, car seat safety, etc. Presented by the Region of Halton Health Department.

New parents can also access our Parent Resource Library or speak to our parent educator to obtain information about pregnancy and parenting. Our parent educator is available to assist parents and caregivers in locating information and answer questions about parenting issues. Our outreach worker is available to provide assistance to parents and community groups who would like additional information about our centres.
